The Federal capital territory Administration (FCTA) has stated that the reopening of Nigerian schools in the territory will be on Monday 10th January, 2025 for the commencement of second term academic activities for 2021/2022 academic session.
FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello who gave the directives at stakeholders meeting in Abuja however added that all boarding schools would be reopened a day earlier (Sunday 9th January, 2022).
According To him, all covid 19 safety protocols must be maintained, warning that schools that violate the resumption guidelines and have an outbreak of COVID-19 would be shut down.
Every school should have a sick bay where students with high temperature should be kept under high supervision of health personnel untill their parents come for them.
